RIVERDALE — Two restaurants are opening their doors Thursday in Riverdale’s Town Square development.
Chipotle Mexican Grill will open its first Weber County location at 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at 849 W. Riverdale Road.
Chipotle is a fast-casual restaurant chain that serves tacos and burritos with more than 2,000 locations around the U.S., including restaurants in Layton and Farmington. The chain is known for using naturally-grown ingredients in its food.
MOD Pizza — a fast-casual, artisan-style pizza restaurant — will open at noon at 845 W. Riverdale Road.
The first 52 people at the location will receive a free pizza or salad, and all profits for the opening day will be donated to Youth Futures, a youth homeless shelter in Ogden.
Ribbon cuttings for both restaurants will be held before each of their grand openings.
Chipotle and MOD Pizza join Wing Stop, which opened earlier this month, and Habit Burger, which opened in June, as part of the 110,000-square foot retail development on Riverdale Road. A Jersey Mike’s Subs location is also set to open in the area.
